“The swift and brutal sweep” and the shards — but not against any ruins!!!! (I’m with you — in that realm of “swift of brutal”; I know that realm and you have captured it so well I almost cannot bear it). Love to you both, Lisa

You are much more than your memorabilia! (Nice china, though.) You're also your books and —what shall I call it? — your aura? I so admire and envy your stalwart down-sizing. May Ireland be a wonderful new chapter.

What a wonderful, somewhat nostalgic metaphor of "moving on" with your new life, Bruce. It makes me think of all the stuff we have accumulated over the years, and I admire you guys for the courage to leave it all behind as you look forward. All our love and best wishes to you two. Kisses, Wendy

Bruce, It breaks my heart to think of you leaving NYC but I'm so happy for you and Pierce. Your Ireland adventure awaits! I can't wait to hear about your life in this new place. Sending you a big hug, Lynn

I love the poem, Bruce. I’ve been thinking of your adventurous shift in life. Surely you may acquire a little bit more for the next stage set?

I aspire to one day go through all things (I did sell most of my mother’s wedding silver, about which I feel guilt and wonder — who on earth did all this polishing?!) What a solipsistic response!!! I will miss you and look forward to seeing you both to say Goodbye (or take me with you?!!!)!
